August 22; Week 10

Tomatoes like heat... and so do a bunch of other summer vegetables. Therefore, they're taking their time to ripen. We'll have to continue to settle for the cherry tomotoes until the bigger ones are ready to be picked. Same story for melon. Plenty out there, just not ripe yet.

The good news is that some of the equipment we weren't able to use has been repaired and that's making farming a whole lot more fun and efficient.

At the end of the week, we bid farewell to Sea who returns to Mt. Holyoke to continue studies. Sea's been an absolute dream member of the community this summer. We'll look forward to welcoming them back for The Wastelands performance at the end of September and with any luck at all, next summer, too.

What an absolute pleasure to host LuSa Organics' Mother-Child retreat last weekend. The whole farm smelled great as they conconcted products for health and well-being. Check out the website for some awesome locavore lovelies.
