2016 capital campaign

philadelphia community farm is "what the world needs now"

Join us in raising $250,000 to restore wonder and function to our heritage barns. We’re building our campaign, board by board, and as of September 1st, we have raised $60,000! Donate now, and be a part of helping us continue to make possible What the World Needs Now: Health and vitality for people, animal, plants and the earth we live on.

Renovate White Barn: A new sense of purpose for this century-old barn

Full transformation of White Barn will begin this year and continue through 2020. Folk school and children’s classes, plus retreats, cooking and food justice events—this is just the beginning of what’s possible with the renovation of our majestic White Barn.

Green and sustainable features planned:

  • Passive solar greenhouse
  • Cooling air tubes
  • Rainwater harvesting
  • Community teaching kitchen

RESTORE RED BARN: A SAFE, DRY SPACE FOR HAY, ANIMALS, AND VISitors

Roof, beam, and hay loft floor repairs for Red Barn will return the 100-year-old structure to its position as a favorite spot for the 500-1,000 children who visit the farm annually, chatting with the chickens, peeking in at the piglets, or experiencing a sheep shearing.
